This is a Bible study from the original Rio Link start-up guide. Once again, another great study to keep coming back to. This is a great study to jump-start worship.

Hand out the Worship is Real list of values.
    In SoulRio RioLinks…
o A healthy believer’s lifestyle includes large group worship.
o Corporate worship is a time of praise, celebration, and inspiration for believers and seekers.
o Worship is an essential part of weekly RioLink life.
o Gifts, talents, and abilities are discovered and developed in RioLink worship.
o Corporate and RioLink worship is natural and real.
o People are spiritually moved by RioLink worship.
o Weekly corporate worship “charges the batteries” of RioLink members, encouraging them to go and serve during the week.
o Prayer is essential to expressing worship and is the primary ingredient to a successful relationship with God and each other.
o Worship is for God, to give Him glory. We should not ask, "Did we like the worship?" but, "Did the worship honor God and was He pleased?" Worship is not about what we think. It is about what God thinks.
o Worship is not just singing. We worship with our lives.

Read Acts 2:47 (NASV), “And they were praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
    • What is your idea of praising God?
    • Turn to the book of Psalms and read some passages that describe praising God. Read them out loud to the RioLink members.

    • If it is ever hard to worship or praise God, give reasons why it is in these areas:
    -As an individual
    -In a RioLink
    -In a corporate setting

Read Hebrews 13:15 (NASV), “Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.”
    • How does this verse speak to you?
    • What does it mean to “praise” God?
    • What does it mean to “offer up a sacrifice of praise?”
    • Do “praise” to God and “sacrifice” go together? How?

    • Name some reasons why we would worship (praise) the name of Jesus.

Spend time in prayer in an audible way praising God for many different reasons.

    Witness - Others Matter
Have each person in the RioLink write out the name of a person who is lost on a piece of paper.
Put the paper in the middle of the room. Have the people take one sheet of paper that has a name on it and pray for that person through out the week.

    Works - Everybody Serves
    • What are some practical ways that we can reach out to the person you wrote on your paper who needs the Lord? Lets list them and follow through with plans to serve our lost friends.
